Overview
The Sxgram Social Icon API Program gives websites a simple way to add Sxgram beside established social-sharing destinations such as Facebook, X, LinkedIn, and Pinterest. When a visitor clicks the Sxgram icon, the integration transfers the webpage’s shareable information to Sxgram and opens a prefilled Make a Gram experience. The visitor remains in control of the final post and must log in or create an account before anything is published.
The program is designed to extend Sxgram beyond the boundaries of Sxgram.com. Brands, publishers, businesses, creators, stores, and platforms can make their content easier to share into the Sxgram social network while giving their audiences another place to discover and discuss it. Affiliate partners can also connect the icon to their Sxgram referral attribution and earn from qualifying Verified Account upgrades.
Product Summary
The Social Icon API is a lightweight copy-and-paste website integration built around the official Sxgram share icon. It reads the current webpage’s canonical URL and available social metadata, then sends those details through the secure Sxgram share handoff. The integration does not give an outside website permission to create posts directly in Sxgram’s database.
The standard version is a pure social-sharing tool with no affiliate attribution. The affiliate-enabled version performs the same sharing function but adds the partner’s GoAffPro referral code to the handoff. Both versions use the same member-controlled publishing experience inside Sxgram.

The handoff can carry the current page URL, title, preview image, description, and optional affiliate reference. The final preview depends on the metadata made publicly available by the partner’s webpage, so publishers should maintain accurate Open Graph tags. Sxgram may normalize, validate, or omit metadata that is missing, unsafe, malformed, or incompatible with the composer.
Who It Is For
The program is intended for organizations and individuals that already publish content or products on the open web. This includes magazines, newsrooms, blogs, creator websites, online stores, brand websites, event pages, affiliate programs, membership communities, and creator-economy platforms. It is especially useful for websites that already display a conventional social-share bar and want to add Sxgram as another destination.
The affiliate-enabled version is intended for approved Sxgram affiliate partners using a valid GoAffPro referral URL or code. It allows a partner to distribute Sxgram through a useful sharing feature instead of relying only on conventional advertising. Qualifying Verified Account upgrades attributed through the partner’s referral relationship may generate the applicable recurring commission under the current Sxgram affiliate-program terms.
How It Works
The external website displays an official Sxgram icon within its social-share controls or another contextually appropriate location. When a visitor clicks the icon, the installed script identifies the current webpage and available title, image, and description metadata. It then opens Sxgram’s /share handoff in a new browser tab with those values encoded as URL parameters.
Sxgram receives the handoff and checks whether the visitor is authenticated. A returning member can proceed to the prefilled Make a Gram composer, while a new or logged-out visitor is asked to log in or create an account before publishing. The integration never publishes silently or on the visitor’s behalf.
Inside the composer, the member can review the webpage link and its available preview information before completing the Gram. When the member chooses to publish, Sxgram creates the new record under that authenticated member’s account in the Post collection. The resulting Gram can then participate in Sxgram’s normal feed, profile, engagement, and discovery experiences.
For affiliate-enabled integrations, the partner’s referral value travels with the initial handoff through the ref parameter. Sxgram uses that value for the intended GoAffPro attribution process when the visitor becomes a qualifying customer. Referral attribution does not grant the partner access to the member’s Sxgram account or permission to publish content.

Standard Social Icon
Step 1 — Choose the icon. Select the official pink or black Sxgram SVG based on the background and visual style of the website. The icon should appear at a size consistent with the surrounding social icons and retain enough clear space to remain recognizable.
Step 2 — Copy the Standard code. Open the Sxgram Social Icon integration page and copy the complete Standard HTML and JavaScript snippet. The Standard code is displayed immediately and contains no GoAffPro affiliate attribution.
Step 3 — Install the code. Paste the supplied snippet into the website template, article layout, product layout, or social-share component where the icon should appear. The website must permit the required HTML link and JavaScript behavior, and the integration should be installed once per intended share control rather than duplicated unnecessarily.
Step 4 — Check page metadata. Confirm that the webpage publishes an accurate canonical URL, title, og:image, and description. Strong metadata improves the quality of the prefilled Gram and helps the shared link appear intentional and recognizable.
Step 5 — Test the full journey. Open a published webpage, click the Sxgram icon, and confirm that https://www.sxgram.com/share opens in a new tab. Verify that login is required when appropriate, the Make a Gram composer is prefilled, and no post is created until the authenticated member actively publishes it.
Affiliate-Enabled Social Icon
Step 1 — Join the Sxgram Affiliate Program. Complete the current affiliate enrollment process and obtain the unique GoAffPro referral URL or referral code assigned to the partner. The partner should retain the original value exactly as supplied.
Step 2 — Enter the referral information. Paste the GoAffPro affiliate URL or code into the referral field on the Sxgram code-generator page. Select Update Code to generate the personalized affiliate-enabled integration.
Step 3 — Copy the personalized code. After generation, copy the complete code shown in the Custom Code area. The personalized version includes the partner’s referral value and passes it to Sxgram through the optional ref parameter.
Step 4 — Install and test it. Add the personalized snippet to the website in the same manner as the Standard integration. Test the share journey from a public page and verify both the prefilled Gram experience and the presence of the correct referral value in the handoff.
Step 5 — Maintain the integration. Keep the official icon asset, destination URL, and referral value unchanged unless Sxgram publishes an update. If the website changes its templates, metadata system, domain, or social-share component, test the Sxgram icon again after deployment.
Recommended Placement
The strongest default placement is beside the website’s existing social-share icons, where visitors already understand the intended action. Article pages can place it near the headline or at the conclusion, product pages can place it near other sharing controls, and creator profiles can include it wherever audiences are invited to amplify the creator’s work. Placement should be visible without interrupting reading, shopping, or navigation.
The icon should not be presented as a login button, payment button, endorsement badge, or indication that Sxgram authored the external content. Partner websites should use language such as Share to Sxgram, Post to Sxgram, or Share this on Sxgram. The interaction should always be voluntary and understandable before the visitor clicks.
How to Market It
Partners should market the integration as a useful new distribution option for their audience. The clearest message is that visitors can now share the partner’s articles, products, announcements, events, or creator content directly into Sxgram with the page information already prepared. This positions the icon as a convenience and discovery feature rather than another advertisement.
For publishers and magazines, the primary value is expanded distribution and an additional social destination for every story. For stores and brands, the value is giving creators and customers a direct way to introduce products and offers to their Sxgram networks. For creator platforms and communities, the icon gives members a bridge between content hosted elsewhere and their identity, followers, and activity on Sxgram.
Affiliate partners can add a second message around recurring revenue. Their website is not merely referring someone through a banner; it is providing a functional sharing tool that can introduce new people to Sxgram at the moment they want to distribute content. When a properly attributed referral becomes a qualifying paid Verified Account, the partner can earn according to Sxgram’s current affiliate terms, including the advertised 70% recurring share where applicable.
Suggested Partner Messaging
Short website announcement: “You can now share our content directly to Sxgram. Look for the Sxgram icon beside our other social-sharing options, select it, and publish the story to your Gram.”
Creator-focused message: “Your work deserves more places to be discovered. Use the Sxgram share icon to bring this page into your Sxgram profile and share it with a social network built for adults.”
Affiliate-partner message: “We added Sxgram to our social-share tools so our community can distribute content directly into the Sxgram network. Creators and businesses who join through our integration can explore free membership and optional Verified Account features, while qualifying upgrades support our partnership with Sxgram.”

Security, Privacy, and Publishing Controls
The integration is a share handoff, not an authorization for third-party publishing. External websites receive no direct write access to the Sxgram Post collection, and the visitor must authenticate with Sxgram before reaching the final publishing step. A Gram is associated only with the member who reviews and publishes it.
Partners should not include private, paywalled, session-specific, or personally sensitive information in publicly exposed page metadata. Sxgram may reject or remove content that violates its Terms of Use, platform policies, intellectual-property rules, safety standards, or applicable law. Installation of the icon does not guarantee distribution, engagement, referral credit, account approval, or continued eligibility for any program.
Product Boundaries
The Social Icon API does not automatically syndicate every page from a partner website, create posts without member consent, or give partners access to Sxgram member credentials. It is not a feed-ingestion service, advertising placement, payment processor, or direct database API. It is a controlled bridge that helps an individual visitor turn a webpage into a member-authored Gram.
Affiliate attribution is optional and exists only in the affiliate-enabled version. The Standard integration contains no GoAffPro attribution, while the custom version must be generated from the partner’s valid referral information. Commission eligibility, attribution windows, qualifying purchases, adjustments, and payouts remain governed by the current Sxgram affiliate-program terms.
Success Measures
Program performance can be evaluated through icon installations, share-button clicks, completed Grams, new-member registrations, qualifying Verified Account upgrades, referral conversion, and the amount of partner content distributed through Sxgram. Partners can also examine whether Sxgram becomes a repeat sharing destination for their audience rather than a one-time referral source. Sxgram should use these measures to improve the handoff while preserving member consent and post quality.
Executive Statement
“For years, websites have treated social-sharing icons as a finished list, even as the needs of creators and businesses have changed. The Sxgram Social Icon API gives publishers, platforms, brands, and creators a simple way to add a social network built for adults to that distribution layer. More importantly, it lets a useful action—sharing a story, product, announcement, or idea—become the beginning of a new relationship between the partner, the member, and Sxgram. We are not asking the open web to become part of a closed platform; we are building a bridge that helps the open web participate in a more connected creator economy.”— Joseph Haecker, Founder of Sxgram
Closing Summary
The Sxgram Social Icon API Program turns a familiar website behavior into a controlled path toward new social distribution. The Standard version makes sharing to Sxgram easy, while the affiliate-enabled version adds partner attribution and potential recurring revenue without changing the member-controlled publishing experience. For organizations that serve creators, businesses, readers, shoppers, or online communities, the program offers a lightweight way to participate in Sxgram’s growth while helping more content move between the open web and the Sxgram social network.
